Fanuc all electric fully automated tyre over-moulding cell introduced reducing energy consumption by around 70%
Guy-Raymond was very pleased to welcome five representatives from rollgroup GmbH to King’s Lynn for a sales conference and factory tour in October. We have been working with our German distributor network for over 19 years and whilst some of our guests had visited us previously, for others it was their first opportunity to see where our castors and furniture components are made.
During the conference, delegates were brought up to date with new product developments and advances in the factory including investment in seven New Cucchi Bar Loaders and the more recent Swarf Centrifugal System Upgrade. Also of interest was the installation of a new robotic cell for moulding soft tyres plus the addition of sixteen new moulding machines, with plans to replace the remaining eight in the future.
Our partners were able to view the above upgrades in action, and see how customers benefit from more reliable and efficient production processes whilst on a tour of the factory. There was also just enough time to visit our refurbished canteen and sales office.
The day was rounded off with an evening meal together at a traditional English pub. The next morning, Sarah and Lawrence joined our guests and boarded a train to the nearby City of Ely. They visited the Cathedral and took a tour of the Octagon Tower where they climbed 170 spiral steps to view its wooden lantern. The Tower was completed in 1342 and is cited as one of the great feats of medieval engineering.
The rollgroup companies represent Guy-Raymond products and ensure customer satisfaction across all regions of Germany. We look forward to many more years of successful partnerships with them.
